Release Notes
Sound Source: Multi-IEM Source + Original AUD Source (MK4 Master) = Matrix Source

The wait is over! The first in the series of astonishing multi-IEM matrix recordings from Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds' 2015 Japan tour, brought to you by the XAVEL label! The Osaka performances at Festival Hall, which marked the opening of the tour, are now available in superb sound quality that fans will love! In April 2015, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds toured Japan, promoting their album "Chasing Yesterday," which further expanded their exceptional songwriting skills. The tour kicked off in Osaka and continued throughout Japan, visiting Hiroshima, Fukuoka, Nagoya, and Tokyo. The tour thrilled the entire nation with a selection of new songs featuring wind instruments (as well as some older material) and a number of OASIS numbers not previously performed on stage. This release captures the band's premiere performances on April 6th and April 7th at Osaka Festival Hall, using a stereo matrix mix of multiple IEM sources (one IEM source for the first performance) with different mix balances used by each member onstage, along with the MK4 Master, a secret audience source renowned for its pinnacle audience recording quality. The first day's performance (Discs 1 and 2) uses only one IEM source, allowing you to relive the live performance with the thick, warm sound that can only be reproduced with the finest audience sound source. Meanwhile, the second day's performance (Discs 3 and 4) uses two or three IEM sources (depending on the song) expertly matrixed to deliver the clear, crisp, and exquisite sound quality of a stereo soundboard recording. Since the setlist for the Osaka concerts remained unchanged, it's a real treat for fans to be able to relive these two completely different, superb sounds! Also, while the Osaka concerts featured an acoustic version of "Don't Look Back in Anger," the band switched to the standard electric version from the Hiroshima concert two days later. In that sense, the two performances included on this album are also incredibly valuable. The following Hiroshima, Fukuoka, and Nagoya concerts, as well as the final Tokyo concerts, are also scheduled to be released in even more polished, ultimate multi-IEM matrix format (plus fan-favorite sound check audio and superb multi-camera footage!) Don't miss it!
