This is the sixth installment in the stunning Multi-IEM Matrix audio series from Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds' 2015 Japan tour, brought to you by the XAVEL label! The second day of the Tokyo concert series at Nippon Budokan is completely recorded in ultra-quality, bringing tears to fans' eyes! Bonus tracks include the complete, uncut sound check that took place before the doors opened! Plus, enjoy footage captured using multiple cameras (original audience sources) on this one title, making this an all-in-one item! In April 2015, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds toured Japan in support of their latest album, "Chasing Yesterday," which saw the band push their exceptional songwriting to new heights. The tour kicked off in Osaka and traveled to Hiroshima, Fukuoka, Nagoya, and Tokyo, thrilling the entire country with a selection of new songs featuring brass instruments (as well as some older material) and a number of Oasis numbers that hadn't been performed on stage in recent years.
This set includes two CDs of the final concert on April 16th at the sacred Nippon Budokan, a masterful stereo mix that combines multiple IEM sources with different mix balances used by each member onstage with the finest audience source (MK4 Master, acclaimed as the pinnacle of audience recording), making its first appearance in Japan. The same XAVEL label has also previously released a four-CD set ("2015 Budokan Double Nights" XAVEL-Special Sampler-004) featuring superb audience recordings of both Budokan dates, but this release is a meticulously crafted multi-IEM matrix sound source. Of course, a separate master is used for the audience source, complementing the venue's immersive feel, so this is a highly recommended release for fans who already couldn't wait and acquired the Budokan performance from other sources. The sound quality is simply superb, with an overwhelming sound balance comparable to a stereo soundboard recording! It's truly a miracle! There's no harsh audience noise or nearby vocals, so even bootleg beginners can enjoy it with ease! Since OASIS's 2009 Japan tour, the XAVEL label has released a string of outstanding recordings, including performances by Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds and Beady Eye. This exceptional release clearly demonstrates their commitment to a whole new level! The flawlessly executed stage set, refined throughout the tour, is a must-listen! The bonus track includes a complete, uncut recording of the meticulous 50-minute sound check that took place before the doors opened, also recorded in premium multi-IEM matrix audio. This rehearsal, held in a slightly different atmosphere from the actual performance, including conversations between songs between Noel and the band, is a must-listen for any enthusiast, with noiseless, superb sound quality! The DVD also includes spectacular multi-camera audience shots of the live show, captured using multiple cameras from the very front of the first and second-floor stands. The audience source, which is equally stable, is a completely original, high-definition video that can only be seen here. With an unobstructed view, even close-up shots at key points are perfect! The audio uses the same immersive, premium audience source as used in the aforementioned four-CD set ("2015 Budokan Double Nights" XAVEL-Special Sampler-004), so you'll enjoy a superb sound that's a little different from the multi-IEM sound source recorded on CD. This limited-edition 2CD + DVD features beautiful holographic artwork and a Japanese obi strip.
