Backing tracks sent in by Bonehead to get Oasis booked for a TV appearance on The Blackpool Roadshow to support an ITV Telethon in 1992. Only one of the two tracks has surfaced, and it took around 20 years.

In the early 2000s the tape was sold by EIL and disappeared...

Then in 2021 it was sent in by a listener and broadcast on Absolute Radio. Unfortunately the track is peppered with "Dave Berry Breakfast Show" callouts, but nonetheless it's great to hear one of the tracks from the tape that was sold by EIL back in the day.

Image: Shirley Jones / Tony McCarrols version of events regarding the Blackpool Roadshow ITV Telethon gig are total cock! It was my show, I was there and it was myself and my brother that provided that valuable performance slot due to his work with Boneheads brother Martin. Liam did not glare or swear at the audience, and where he gets the brownies and salvation army from is anyones guess! The lads were a pleasure to work with and it was a special time given they became the incredible rock stars they are today. Proud to have worked with them....just to clear this up! Still looking through hundreds of show reels as we have the performance somewhere. It will be a good day when we find the film recording! Shirl
