Release Notes: commentsThe first ever Oasis radio session recorded and broadcast on the 11th of August 1993 according to the Official BBC Archives. There's been a bit of debate online about another broadcast on September 15th or September 17th, 1993. The BBC Archives confirm the show aired on Wednesdays, and so if there was a second broadcast it must have been the 15th (if it was even broadcast in September that is). Originally credited to an "in-studio" recording on Nov 8, 1993 on "Bite of the Apple" (produced by KTS in 1998 - they obviously assumed that "11/08" was in US date format), the mystery of this session was solved in 2011 when an Ignition off-air master cassette was sold on eBay for £250 and an audio transfer shared to Oasis forums. "I Will Believe" was issued as a b-side to Supersonic and "Bring it on Down" is later issued as "Bring it On Down (live) as a b-side to the Shakermaker cd single. "Cigarettes & Alchol" from the same session was released on the Stop the Clocks EP listed as a demo...(!) Liam opens "Bring it on Down" with "Good Evening Great Britain, Hello..." Interview with Peter Hook (New Order). Noel and Bonehead later talk about this session in a Westwood One interview in March 1995. ![]() ![]()
