this is one of my personal Verve shows because it's complete with the Swedish DJ's history on The Verve -which I cannot understand a word of except when the mention the band: "...flestaband farfegnugen... THE VERVE spillatraten noog...fukengrooven THE VERVE" too funny! (and I do not mean ANY disrespect against the Swedish....I think it's cool to listen to a foreign language. :) )

the performance is once again stellar and this show is a SOLID 10 sound and performance wise...listen to the soundscape the band makes on ' A Man Called Sun' !! Nick (how does he get those sounds??), Simon (hypnotic bass riffs), and Peter (perfect and always there at the perfect time) are AMAZING.... not to mention the early versions of 'This Is Music' as track 05 and 'The Rolling People' with members of Oasis on 'claps' on track 08.

sorry folks, it is really hard to restrain any conversation on the Verve!

as a side note, following this festival, The Verve and Oasis got into trouble with the law after a spot of hotel bar wrecking, to the tune of £1,000. The two bands made the front pages of the Swedish national press. A spokesman for The Verve said: "everyone was really drunk. The bands didn't play until something like two in the morning. Then they got back to the hotel and the bar was open. Unfortunately the hotel management tried to close it after a while and an argument ensued. Some bottles were purloined."
