Release Notes
This is a complete recording of the Dallas performance on April 20, 1996, from the fourth short American tour of the Morning Glory tour, with high sound quality. This tour was originally scheduled to have eight performances, but two were canceled due to Noel's illness with the flu, resulting in only six performances. After this, they returned to the UK and were preparing for that historic main road performance. This work is the concert just before that, one week before. The acoustic set that changes every day features the rare "Take Me Away", which has only been played on stage seven times in total. This song has not been played by Oasis since that day. Also, "Cast No Shadow", which starts with an a cappella without an intro, is a cute place.

As bonus tracks, two tracks from April/February 1996 and close to the main period are included. The first track is from Noel's appearance on a Seattle radio show on April 11, 1996. This song, co-written by Ivan Dando and Noel Gallagher of The Lemonheads, has a bit of a story behind it, as Sony Music was against releasing it and it was shelved. This song was only included on the promotional CD for The Lemonheads' seventh studio album, "CAR BUTTON CLOTH," released in 1996, and is a rare song that rarely saw the light of day. It is also a very rare track, as this is the only take sung by Noel Gallagher on that day.

Another bonus track is the speech when they won the triple crown of Best Video, Best Album, and Best Group at the BRIT Awards on February 19, 1996. Although the greeting is in English, Liam hums a parody of Blur's "Park Life" in the middle. A beautiful picture disc design for a permanent, sturdy pressing.

comments

Bronco Bowl '96 is a slightly longer recording but suffers from a bit of tape hiss audible during Noel's acoustic set.
