Complete broadcast, although Wonderwall fades out before the end of the song. Not as good quality as "Noel Gets To The Point" . Recommended.
Original Notes: i got it considerably in old days. so the sound quality became a little bad (room temperature, sunlight, moisture). but I think that i improved it a little.

REMASTER & REMIX OF SOUNDBOARD RECORDING
The 1997 "BE HERE NOW" tour is very popular among enthusiasts. It was a special time that could only be experienced in 1997, with performances of high tension and aggressive setlists mainly based on the songs from the same album. In fact, "SHEFFIELD ARENA 1997 2ND NIGHT" and "MUNICH 1997", which contain a typical high-tension night, are still best-sellers, but there are many other classics that convey the charm of this tour. Not only was the content of the performances great during this period, but radio broadcasts were realized at key points (the previous "MUNICH 1997" was also a shortened broadcast but had a great soundboard), which also plays an important role in spreading the appeal of this tour. Among them, Dublin on December 5, 1997 is highly popular as a unique and attractive stereo soundboard. The band performed three nights in a row at the venue, but due to the tight schedule, Liam's voice gave out after the first night. So they decided to perform the remaining two nights without him, and Noel sang lead vocals for both shows, which was an irregular show. Furthermore, the final night was broadcast on the radio, and the rare performance was preserved for posterity on a soundboard. There are two airchecks of this rare radio broadcast, but both have some problems. The most famous version released on "NOEL GETS TO THE POINT" is "clear but incomplete in mono. The later CD "DON'T GO AWAY, BROTHER!" is "complete in stereo but with rough sound quality." Because of this situation, the recording was not conclusive, and the issue was resolved with "NOEL GETS TO THE POINT -COMPLETE- (DEFINITIVE EDITION)," which took the best of both versions. Since then, several items have been released under the name of "NOEL GETS TO THE POINT", but all of them were merely differences in equalization, and even titles that sounded like editing mistakes appeared, so they were not enough to reach the definitive version. Therefore, this time, simply editing the best of two types of sound sources is as old as ever, so we have carried out a major remix and remaster using the technology unique to 2024. The same engineer who worked on the simultaneously released "DEFINITIVE MAINE ROAD 1996: 2 DAYS REMASTER & REMIX" used the latest AI to perform a detailed remix and remaster. However, the concept was not to use AI easily, but to truly take the best of the two types of sound sources and then sum up the discomfort. In particular, the "NOEL GETS TO THE POINT" sound source was mono, so Noel's voice was loud and the performance was pushed aside, which was also a problem with the balance. Therefore, it does not just give a sense of stereo, but also eliminates the unnaturalness at once and restores the thick texture of the live sound of the 1997 "BE HERE NOW" tour. This alone makes it stand out from past releases, but the roughness of the last two songs, "Live Forever" and "Wonderwall," which are from separate sources, has also been thoroughly corrected. In this way, it has been reborn as the definitive version, literally "enjoying the whole thing with a sense of stereo and clear sound quality." And then, due to the sudden switch to the Noel show, the performance content is too rare. "My Big Mouth," which was included in "BE HERE NOW" but was not performed on stage after the album's release, suddenly explodes. This scene alone promises that it will be a night that will not be just a day of Noel vocals as a substitute for Liam. On the contrary, the composition of the live performance has been significantly changed, and "Stand By Me" and "D'You Know What I Mean?", which should have been performed by the band, are performed by Noel on his own accompaniment, which is extremely rare. The latter in particular is interesting in that it starts off with an acoustic guitar and vocals, so it may be confused with "Wonderwall". The excitement on the day was incredible in front of these precious performances, and the acoustic corner captured the sense of realism of all the songs being sung together. The finale was the super rare "The Girl In The Dirty Shirt", which was the only live performance of its kind. It was a great blessing that they played it only on this day, and at the same time, it was broadcast on the radio. This masterpiece of Noel's vocal show, which boasts such valuable and fascinating content, will finally be released as the definitive version in full stereo and clear sound. And as for the title of the release, even non-fans will be satisfied with the name "NOEL GETS TO THE POINT"... so this time, it has been decided to be "DUBLIN 1997 FINAL NIGHT: REMASTER & REMIX" to mark the birth of a new definitive edition.

FM stereo recording of the Noel only gig in Dublin, with very rare performances of D'you Know What I Mean? And Whatever acoustically, the only ever performance of "The Girl In A Dirty Shirt", and rare version of "My Big Mouth".
Noel Gets to the Point was released on a factory-pressed CD. Most of the tracks are full lossless quality, but some ("Magic Pie", "Stand By Me", "D'You Know What I Mean", "Whatever", "Don't Go Away" and "Fade In-Out") seem to be from 320kbps sources.
The missing tracks from Noel Gets to the Point turned up as (MP3-sourced) bonus tracks on Noel Takes Control.
There was also a "fan-made" edit of Noel gets to the Point circulating on 2x CDRs which contained the whole set, combining the original Noel Gets to the Point (NG017 Release) with "Live Forever" and "Wonderwall" from Noel Takes Control.
Betrayer Deluxe had the same idea and issued several versions of a "Complete" Noel Gets to the Point, including a 3CD edition and an ultimate 7CD edition with lots of bonus content including two versions of the 2FM Broadcasts.
The "Version 2" source (on Bonus CD3 + Bonus CD4) is a full lossless version of the 2FM broadcast, unlike the original Noel Gets to the Point release.
Don't Go Away, Brother was a 2CD-R release on "Expire" and although it's a true lossless source it does sounds like a ropey high-gen tape copy of one of the 2FM broadcasts (Thanks to @keke from the Live4Ever forum for the track details on this release).
The "44matsu" release is a tape transfer from an FM broadcast and so is another proper lossless source (although "Wonderwall" is cut short).

fan memories
"This was the second night with Noel only on vocals and we were seated upstairs, backish, right of stage. Having seen the previous nights show, me and my mate were expecting more of the same and we were a little disappointed as the performance did not seem as electric as last night, however this may be due to where we were. What did surprise us was the set list. From the previous night Cigarettes was back in the set (to remain for the rest of the tour) and (the only?) Girl In The Dirty Shirt was performed, also My Big Mouth. Liam came on for the encore of Acquiesce banging a tambourine. We did later hear from one of the minders that during soundcheck they had rehearsed It's Getting Better Man, but Noel had difficulties with singing and playing!! This show is probably the most unique show I have seen with regard to set list, and it was a great night, just not as good as the night before. After the show we went to the VIP area and saw Alan White who signed my ticket and pass. I did not see any other members of the band as reported by previous reviewer, but they might have been there, although the VIP area wasn't especially big. upon leaving The Point Depot we headed onto the Olympia Theatre where Roy Wood was doing a late show. Let me tell you, he was fucking great. The following night we saw The Seahorses and met the band plus Mani backstage (sharing a joint with John Squire). Playing the late show was an Abba tribute band which we watched as part of the entourage from the balcony. Overall a wicked weekend watching 5 shows in 3 days, 4 for free!!!

"Myself and my friend Tommy were at this gig. The disappointment of Liam not singing was made up for by an electric session by Noel. Then Liam appeared on stage for the last two or 3 songs. After the gig myself and my mate managed to get backstage where we met Ocean Colour Scene, Travis, our hero Mani from Stone Roses and currently bassist with OCS. I had a good chat with then band member Guigsy - sound man he is. Noel was gone to the Late Late Show. Had a short chat with Liam before heading home with our jealous friends on a bus!
