Due to directives of the local government and the decisions of the directors of the Montreal Molson Centre to close their building until Friday 15th January, Oasis -- while en route to Montreal -- have been forced to postpone their scheduled 14th January Montreal concert date. The band's management is currently assessing opportunities to reschedule the date. If required, ticket holders may obtain refunds at point of purchase beginning Tuesday 20th January.

The members of Oasis are disappointed the severe weather conditions have prevented them from playing a part of the country they rarely have the opportunity to visit. Canada is one of the strongest fan bases for Oasis outside the UK. The 1995 disc "What's The Story" Morning Glory?" has sold more than 800,000 copies in Canada alone. The band's new album, "Be Here Now" is set to duplicate that success.

Oasis also wishes to extend their sincere condolences to their fans and the thousands of Montreal area residents whose lives have been disrupted by the storms, and offer their best wishes for a speedy return to heath and safety. As a gesture of their concern, the band will be making a donation to the Canadian Red Cross disaster relief fund that has been set up to aid the families disrupted by the crisis.
