Release Notes
The first delivery of "WITNESS FESTIVAL 2002 COMPLETE" is the CD-R "FINSBURY PARK FIRST NIGHT" which contains the first day of Finsbury Park, the biggest performance in July. Finsbury Park is famous enough to be associated with Oasis's 2002 performance. Finsbury Park in 2002 was held for three days, but the most famous is probably the last day when it was broadcast on radio. There are audience recordings for the remaining two days, but those were also released on CD-R in 2002, and the first day was released as "FINSBURY PARK FIRST NIGHT". This is a reprint of that. Since it was a gig in a vast outdoor square, both of the sound sources for the two days have the sound quality of a typical outdoor audience recording, but in terms of ease of listening, the first day is clearly better. In particular, the sound image of Liam's singing voice is well balanced, and the secret to its ease of listening is that the sound coming from the venue is not blown away by the wind, which is common in outdoor recordings. In addition, the large chorus that was customary at Oasis gigs is captured in a balance further back than the performance, which adds to the ease of listening. The only part where the chorus is barely irritating is around "Moring Glory", and even then, it is fortunate that it is pushed to the right side. Rather than the raging excitement captured by the radio broadcast on the final day, it seems to have a very tranquil and realistic feel. And after all, Finsbury Park was a big challenge for Oasis in 2002, so the performance on the first day can't be bad. Liam's tension is at an epic level. His voice is already coming out, and listening to him attacking is enough to make you shiver. The performance on the final day was so great, but you will realize that this day was also a great performance. On the final day, there was a tremendous chorus of Noel's "She's Electric," but it wasn't so intense on this day (bitter smile), and the chorus was more heated for "Don't Look Back In Anger." It is also attractive that the sense of realism is captured in a balanced manner without any unpleasantness. And the finale, "My Generation," begins with Noel dedicating it to John Entwistle, who passed away suddenly, and at the end, Liam shouts "Come on!", and the high tension that is typical of Finsbury Park shines until the end. The first day of Finsbury Park, which is surprisingly easy to listen to and surprisingly difficult to obtain.

Release Notes
This title captures the complete three-day set of three consecutive shows at Finsbury Park in 2002, which were acclaimed to surpass even the Knebworth performance. This marks the first time that the first and second shows have been released on a pressing. Both performances were equally passionate, and an NME reporter visiting the show cited the performance six years earlier, already hailed as a historic milestone, with the headline "EVEN BETTER THAN KNEBWORTH!"
The second day, July 6th, was also released on CDR but is no longer available, making this the first pressing. While the previously released recordings featured bass distortion and frequent volume fluctuations due to limiters, this release is free of distortion and features a consistent volume throughout. Liam appeared onstage wearing a white sweater.
Regarding the third day, July 7th, this recording is a classic, having spawned numerous previously released recordings due to its radio broadcast. While all previously released recordings featured edits of DJ performances, some parts still overlapped with the beginnings of songs, resulting in incomplete content. This release differentiates itself from the previously released recordings by including the entire uncut DJ set, making it its first appearance on CD. Naturally, it features soundboard recordings. Unlike the broadcast recordings, which only featured repeated meaningless audience noise between "Force of Nature" and "Don't Look Back In Anger," this recording includes the intro of the previously missing track, a key advantage of this release. It also includes an interview with Noel, which aired at the same time. Additionally, the opening acts, B.R.M.C. and The Charlatans, are also featured on the soundboard, though these highlights are notable. As can be seen on the front cover, Liam is wearing a leather jacket.
This is Finsbury's strongest five-disc set, capturing the three days at Finsbury, a historic venue that rivals Knebworth in terms of sound quality, all in their best possible quality. This solidly pressed vinyl comes with a beautiful picture disc for permanent preservation.
