Release Notes
Shure Cardiods > Sound professionals battery box (SB1 if I recall) > Sony TCD-D7 DAT
Mastered in Audition CS6, Izotope Ozone and various waves plugins.
The issue is that I was on the front barrier and the bass drum killed all sound.
The bass drum caused a crackle. In previous versions I killed the sound with plugins.
This time I used waves decrackle to fix the bass drum and waves uncompressor to compensate for gain control.
This now sounds a lot better than previous versions.
Still not the best but the best it can be.
comments
Most sources circulating are the unedited version complete with crowd noise and banter between songs, apparently there is also an edited version from the same source but I haven't come across it. Volume levels are close to peaking as it was recorded from the front barrier.

"A brilliant show, there was a long queue outside when we arrived an hour early. Not that many though, I was surprised.
There was an hour and a half before the support act, \The Bandits\, came on stage. To be honest, they were shit. The crowd didn't care, they were into the first song. At one point, Noel stuck his head round a speaker when they were playing, which sent the crowd wild! We loved it!
Then there was an hour between \The Bandits\ and the main men of the evening arrived. The cloth with \Bandits\ at the back dropped, with a simple \Exist\ backdrop. Then out of nowhere, the familiar riff of \Fuckin' In The Bushes\ sent the crowd crazy (Myself included - I was at the front, in front of the speakers) and then I yelled through the sound to my mate \They'll pay Hello now, bet you fifty quid!\. Not only did he agree to it (Rather stupidly), but they suddenly opened with the most AWESOME rendition of Hello ever. EVER. I was blown away, the adrenaline really flowing by now. A few HC songs later (I didn't love them before, but it put a new spin on them - Especially HIABP - That was brilliant. Liam at his best.) and then we got a load of old classics. Columbia, Morning Glory (ESPECIALLY good), Ciggies and Alcohol, Live Forever (Again, Liam spectacular), HTWA, Married with Children, sprinkled with newer tracks.
When the band left the stage, the crowd went flat. Then Noel came back with a chair, and an acoustic beast of a guitar. Again, we went nuts. He riled us up with Wonderwall (The only disappointment, as he didn't do it all) but then HTWA and MWC were superb. Then we had a few songs until the big finale - a rousing \Force of Nature\, an inspirational \Don't Look Back In Anger\ (I've never seen such an atmosphere) and then to top it off - a priceless \My Generation\. Wicked, wicked, wicked.
Best Live Act today? They get my vote.
