Noel Speaks: "Some Songs Have Not Been The Bollocks"
Noel Gallagher talks exclusively to Xfm about Oasis' turbulent, long-awaited sixth studio album, their possible collaboration with Ringo Starr and Liam's burgeoning songwriting talent.
With Oasis' sixth studio album seemingly bogged-down in recording hell, beleagured by a series of mishaps, about-faces and line-up changes, mainman Noel Gallagher spoke exclusively to Xfm to set the record straight about how he's setting the recording straight.
On recording in LA:
"...'Cos all the studios in England are shite, apparently. Which I'd have to concur with. Apart from mine of course, but it gets a bit too easy in my studio."
On the saga of the new album
"It's never been scrapped because we didn't like it or anything like that. But as time's progressed and gone on we've written more songs."
On the new songs
"He [Liam]'s done loads. He's probably writing as we speak. He's written tonnes. He's doing alright, he's got a few belters actually. Considering he can't play a fucking note on the guitar he's doing alright."
On filling the Oasis drum stool
"We're gonna try to get his [Zack Starkey- son of Ringo] Dad down in the studio and get them on the same track. But Ringo'll probably tell us to fuck off."
