    Review from laist.com:
Watching Noel Gallagher playing on stage at the Wadsworth Theatre Thursday night was like hanging out with an obnoxious, older brother you haven’t seen in a few years. He definitely looked older, more mature, with an increased abundance of life experience under his belt, but once he opened his mouth, the same obnoxious jerk you remembered from years ago never left; Noel is still that same bratty Brit, and it’s comforting to know that not much has changed in the last ten years.

Playing to an exclusive audience made up of hardcore Oasis fans and Los Angeles industry-folk, Noel Gallagher, Gem (the “new” guitarist), and drummer Terry Kirkbride performed many rarities and B-sides, a few of their radio hits from What's the Story Morning Glory, and a cover of “Strawberry Fields Forever.” The night was complete with their bratty quips and witty comments we remember oh-so fondly from the nineties, and the sibling rivalry was present between the Gallagher brothers even without Liam in attendance.

While the intimate performance was definitely the main highlight, the evening began with a screening of Oasis’ tour documentary, Lord Don’t Slow Me Down. Focused primarily on their 2005 world tour and shot in black and white, the movie takes a look at life on the road, the notorious personalities of the bandmates, and their consistent global success after fifteen years as a band.

Oasis’ definitive collection, Stop the Clocks will be released on November 21st. While it seems that many successful bands from the decade are rushing to get out their Greatest Hits Album (off the top of my head I know that the Gin Blossoms, Everclear, and Savage Garden have already released their “Best Of’s”), Oasis is a band that can fill a Greatest Hits album to the brink. And while they may be brats, they write songs that have helped define rock music of the last ten years.
