Release Notes
» First appearance, recorded on March 26, 2007, the opening night of the Albert Hall
» Recorded on the final day of Noel & Gem's acoustic tour
» Both performances feature guest appearances by Paul Weller

Malignant tumors, or cancer, are the leading cause of death in Japan, with one in four people dying from cancer. Cancer is believed to develop from multiple abnormalities in specific regions of DNA, placing everyone at risk. Onset is accidental, affecting not only the elderly but also young people and newborns, a situation shared around the world. The UK's Teenage Cancer Trust is a charity dedicated to improving cancer prevention among young people. Its activities include improving hospital facilities for cancer patients and training specialized staff. As part of its fundraising efforts, it regularly hosts concerts by prominent artists who support its aims. Oasis is a frequent performer, and even after their breakup, Liam and Noel have continued to perform as solo artists.

Oasis has performed at TEENAGE CANCER TRUST three times: in 2002, 2003, and 2007. The 2007 performance was an extension of the acoustic tour by Noel and Gem following the release of "STOP THE CLOCKS," and was performed acoustically rather than with a band. However, while the STOP THE CLOCKS tour was held under the name "NOEL GALLAGHER & GEM FROM OASIS" as it was a tour supporting Oasis's greatest hits album, the 2007 TEENAGE CANCER TRUST tour was credited to Noel alone.

Noel performed at the 2007 TEENAGE CANCER TRUST tour under his own name over two days, March 26th and 27th. The second day, the 27th, concert was released as a newspaper supplement titled "THE DREAMS WE HAVE AS CHILDREN," but only 11 of the 16 songs were included, with the remaining five only available as downloads. Furthermore, all the gaps between songs were cut. The Bayswater label's "LET YOUR LOVE LAY ME DOWN" (4CD+DVD) now features the entire concert uncut. The second day was thus available to listen to on a soundboard. However, the opening concert on the 26th has never been released before, making its debut on this CD. It's also worth noting that "Strawberry Fields Forever" was included as an encore on the first night only.

The second half of Disc 2 is a live performance from Manchester on March 30, 2007, at another cancer-related event called MANCHESTER VERSUS CANCER. The concert raised funds for Manchester Christie Hospital, a cancer treatment facility, and featured 10 songs. With both the TEENAGE CANCER TRUST and VERSUS CANCER, Noel likely has a special attachment to cancer prevention.

This disc contains two performances: the band's debut live performance, TEENAGE CANCER TRUST, on March 26, 2007, and the final performance of the acoustic live series that Noel and Gem began in 2006, MANCHESTER VERSUS CANCER, on March 30, 2007. Paul Weller made a guest appearance on both shows. A beautiful picture disc with a permanently preserved press.
