Comments:

The Gleneagles showcase has been traded amongst Oasis fans for years, originally on tape cassette and high-gen VHS copies with increasingly bad colour saturation as copies were used to make further copies and later on CDs transferred from an original cassette recording.

Similar to his intro @ Glasgow Tramway a month later, Liam introduces Supersonic with "Thank you. This is the last one. And it's gonna be the single, so go and buy it."

Various tracks from this show have popped up on official releases over the years:
  • "Live Forever": Youtube video on the Official Oasis Channel (480p with 128kbps Audio).
  • "Bring It On Down & Live Forever": Definitely Maybe DVD RKIDDVD06X.
  • "Digsy's Dinner" & "Live Forever": Amazon Exclusive EP (MP3 Download Only).
  • "Supersonic": Live Forever CD Single CRESCD185 (listed on the CD + inlay as "Live April '94"...)
  • "I Am The Walrus" (Soundcheck / Edit): Cigarettes & Alcohol CD Single CRESCD190 (listed on the CD + inlay as "Live Glasgow Cathouse June '94")
K-VOX - Blasting The Air Waves was a cassette giveaway with Vox Magazine in October 1994 and was billed as "live at the Glasgow Cathouse, June 1994" however (yet again) it was actually from the Gleneagles showcase.

Golf Club Gig contains two versions of this show: the first is sourced from a low-generation VHS promo video, then "Remastered". The second is a raw (unprocessed) version sourced from the VHS promo video.

Even though The Remains of the Day is a relatively recent release it looks like it used Golf Club Gig as a source.

More recently a low-gen SONY Promo VHS of the event has surfaced online with credits, full intro of the drive up to Gleneagles (accompanied by bagpipes!) and an intro which mentions that Jeff Buckley had played on stage earlier that night. (More on this later). At the time of writing it doesn't look like this source has yet been used for an audio release by bootleggers.

For many, many years this gig has been listed as "February 6, 1994" (including on official releases such as the Definitely Maybe DVD!) but it looks like this is yet another case of the official Oasis Gigography being wrong...! The excellent RightEarOfNash blog did some detective work back in 2016 to work out that the event actually took place on either March 9th or 10th 1994, not February 6th (or "June '94" like the Amazon EP says):
After I downloaded a very poor quality bootleg of this performance I set out to find a higher quality source. I knew that a few of these tracks have been released offically on various formats over the years so I thought my best bet would be to splice the performance together from serveral different sources. I then found an unlisted video on the Oasis Youtube channel which contained an intro (this video can be viewed below). To my surprise the gentleman at the beginning mentions Jeff Buckley which lead me to find out if the Jeff Buckley performance I had from Gleneagles (dated as 3rd September 1994) was in fact from the same Sony Seminar as this one.

This Oasis performance as a history of being misdated. The first instance is the single Live Forever where the live version of Supersonic is simply labelled as "Live April '94". The second example is on the Cigarettes & Alcohol where I Am The Walrus was intentionally mislabelled as Live at Glasgow Cathouse June 94. The performance was actually recorded during a rehearsal for the Gleneagles Hotel appearance but even though the band loved this particular recording they were mortified to learn that it was made during a corporate event. The band instead picked a venue from their tour schedule at which they had performed a similar sounding version, and added crowd noise taken from a Faces bootleg CD, in a bid to make it seem like an authentic tour recording. I believe that is was this small piece of mis-information lead to the an Amazon Exlusive EP wrongly being dated as June '94. This performance has since been dated as 6th February 1994, which is widely believed to be correct.

Now knowing that not only was Jeff Buckley there at the event but he actually performed just before Oasis did, the 6th February date is thrown out of the window as Jeff was in Chicago with his Live At Sin-e tour at that time. I also discovered an artical in Billboard Magazine (dated 23rd April 1994) confirming that the Sony Music Conference that was held at the Gleneagle Hotel occurred between the 7th and the 11th of March. Now came the test; could I find the Oasis performance wrongly labelled as the 3rd September like the Jeff Buckley one... and I did. The 9th March 1994 is still and educated guess but all the evidence seems to point to that date.

Wolfgangs have a recording from the Bill Graham archives of the Jeff Buckley set mentioned above, which they date as September 3, 1994 - ie "09/03/1994" in US notation.

On Sep 6, 2004 Big Brother released the Definitely Maybe DVD celebrating the 10th anniversary of the album and featuring two tracks from this gig. With the wrong date attributed (Feb 6, 1994).

On May 12, 2014 Amazon released an Exclusive EP of "Live Forever" and "Digsy's Dinner" to celebrate the Chasing The Sun Reissue of Definitely Maybe. It was accompanied by videos of the performances and a 03:56 interview with Liam and Noel from the venue.

In 2019 Rollingstone.com featured a video for an unreleased version of "Mojo Pin" by Jeff Buckley recorded at Gleneagles directly prior to the set by Oasis.
