Release Notes
The two days at Earl's Court in 1995 were the starting point of Oasis' "three big gigs" in the 1990s. Both days were officially filmed and later used for the live DVD "There and Then". Although only a few songs were used, fortunately a video capturing the entire gig was leaked. Naturally, the sound is from a soundboard, and it has become a standard soundboard with titles like "One Mile Away" released until now. However, the video of the first day at Earl's Court was dubbed with mono sound only on the left channel in the process of leaking. Rather than suspecting that it was intentionally made mono, this was a phenomenon that often occurred due to deck connection problems in the days of VHS trading, and the sound of this day was also affected by this and was circulated in a form that was affected by it. Nevertheless, it has become a standard because it is a soundboard, and in recent years, "Oasis' Earl's Court Triumph" based on an upgraded version was released. However, because it was mono, "Noel's guitar was small" or "his voice became distant when he was MCing" and above all, the balance of the performance itself was extremely unnatural. However, last year, a genuine stereo soundboard recording of this day suddenly leaked onto the Internet. This was based on a DAT copy of the sound source mixed by producer Owen Morris for the audio of the previous DVD "THERE AND THEN". As you know, "THERE AND THEN" is not a complete recording of one live performance, and this sound source also goes up to "Champagne Supernova" based on that. However, it captures about 70% of the live performance, and the sound board with perfect sound quality in stereo recording is too strong. I can't believe that the day will come when we can enjoy the first day of Earl's Court with sound quality that is comparable to the official one...The problem is the second half of the live performance, which was not recorded on DAT. If you add the conventional mono sound source to this, it will be complete, but that alone is not enough. Above all, the difference with the stereo sound source this time is huge. However, now it is 2024, and we should use the latest technology to address this issue and elevate it to an album that can be enjoyed in stereo throughout. Therefore, we made full use of the latest AI technology that eliminated the harsh rain sounds in Noel's latest live soundboard, the definitive version of "FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL '24," which has just been released, to thoroughly alleviate the unnaturalness of the latter half of the live performance. First, of the mono SBD parts, the four songs Cast No Shadow, Don't Look Back In Anger, Whatever, and I Am The Walrus were matrixed with the AUD from the same day! However, this kind of work requires a sense, and if you make a mistake, it often becomes a "clearly outlined AUD." However, this time, we extracted Noel's guitar range from the AUD recording source, placed it on the right side, and combined it with the mono SBD, achieving a delicate and miraculous feat! Wonderwall and Morning Glory were also quoted from the stereo release source of "THERE AND THEN." In addition, the DAT sound source up to the middle of the live performance, which is the main focus of this time, had problems such as channel inversion, missing parts, and sound duplication when it was released online, so it was adjusted firmly. It has been recorded in a more perfect state. Now, an impeccable soundboard album that allows you to enjoy the first day of Earl's Court in stereo to the end has been born! The overwhelming splendor of the performance on this day was fully conveyed from the conventional sound source and the already released titles, but it is already overwhelming when you can hear it in the original stereo. After all, the drawback of the already released titles that Noel's guitar sound was small in many of the classics of this period was fatal. This time, it has been completely solved. And above all, hats off to Liam's perfect singing on this day. It can only be said that it was truly fortunate that Liam's perfect singing voice was recorded on a perfect stereo soundboard on the stage of the peak of 1995. And yet, the first day at Earls Court was filled with so many great moments, including "Don't Look Back In Anger," which was a rough performance due to the timing of its release, and "Whatever," which Liam medleyed with "Octpus's Garden" (this was the only day Liam sang this medley during his time with Oasis!). The legendary performance from 1995, which has always been extremely popular, has been upgraded to stereo and has evolved into the strongest soundboard album!

At the time these were the largest indoor gigs ever held in Europe.

Noel introduces his acoustic set with "This is the bit that everyone says is shit"

Unplugged contains an audience-source recording of "Morning Glory" not found anywhere else, suggesting that the label Forbidden Fruit have another full source of this show that has never been released. (Instead they chose to release the 2nd night as their "Live at Earls Court" release) The releases credited as being "Soundboard" sources are actually an audio rip from a leaked VHS promo tape (or a DVD transfer) rather than a real mixing desk feed.

Earls Court Triumph from Japanese label Bayswater also contains the soundcheck which finally surfaced in 2015.

The "NoelsOasis" DVD rip claims to be from a Master VHS but more likely from a 1st/2nd generation dub and suffers from some white balance issues during the first 30 mins.

A couple of other DVD sources seem to be direct transfers from original Promo VHS tapes. These were the notes from one of these releases:
This was converted from a Sony Premier High Grade VHS tape, purchased in 1997, from Spellbound Records in Croydon for £35. I believe it to be a Sony Promptional Copy, which was probably sent out to TV Stations etc. I believe this to be a Master copy, as it came in a grey box, with a white Sony Index card on the cover. The VHS tape is a Sony Premier High Grade Tape, and I found the colours to be very bright - maybe the intention was to use it on top end Video machines at TV stations rather than a home VCR. The quality is still fantastic, although it has been played many times, and there are a few, minor glitches.

At one point YouTuber "MaxiGonzalezOASIS" had a full video up on YouTube but it now seems to have been taken down :(

In 2023 @Kyle from the Oasis Collector's Group posted an audio transfer from a long lost DAT tape (#1 of 2) of the first night at Earl's Court to YouTube. Sounds like it was being mixed for an official release that never happened (like Cardiff 1996 1st Night).

In 2024 Wardour seems to have plundered this DAT source for their "NEW DAT SOURCE REMASTERED EDITION".
